Steve Humphreys

From Dublin, Steve is a Staff Photographer with the Irish Independent and has worked there since 1994. Having travelled extensively throughout Europe,China and the United States, he has covered many major news breaking stories both at home and abroad. His work has also appeared in many other publications and media including The Irish Times, London Independent, The New York Times and CNN News and he has been commisioned in the past by artists such as Rock Star's U2. Featuring prominently in the UK's Press Photographers Year 2010 competition. A former PPAI President himself, he has to date, also won numerous PPAI Awards over the years, including a prize in this years ARTS category 2012 and was named AIB Irish Photojournalist of the Year for 2008.
