in Northern Ireland, I have has worked throughout the UK and Ireland photographing major breaking news stories of international importance and significant political, cultural and sporting events.
Renowned for high-class photography and versatility in both news and features, my work is published regularly in national and international publications including, amongst others, The Guardian, The Times, Daily Mirror, Daily Mail, Daily Express, Independent, New York Times, Time Magazine, and Hello Magazine.
I've won multiple awards in one of the world's most challenging environments for independent photo-journalists, including Northern Ireland Press Photographer of the year 2010, 2012, Best Feature Photo of the year, Best Picture Story of the year, 2012 1st & 2nd place Best News
Photo of the year and Irish News Nightly photo of the year, to name a few. I've worked for more than 18 years as a professional photographer, and my career has encompassed events ranging from the
historic first act of IRA arms decommissioning in 2001 to the Queen's visit to Ireland in 2011, the first ever by a British monarch. Some of my photographs from the Northern Ireland Troubles are currently on display at the Ulster Museum in Belfast.
Recently I've worked with NGOs in Africa and India. My images from both trips have been published in regional and national press throughout the UK and Ireland.
